Ontario issued Invitations to Apply for Permanent Residence to 63 French-speaking skilled workers on September 21, 2023.
The latest Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) round of invitations issued Notifications of Interest to 63 candidates. It is the year’s fifth draw targeting French-speaking skilled workers. The OINP General Draw targeted workers in the French-speaking Skilled Worker stream. The Francophone skilled workers required a score ranging between 348 and 434 points for selection.
These are the main eligibility requirements to apply under Ontario’s French-speaking Skilled Worker stream:
Active Express Entry profile
French language proficiency of Level CLB 7 and above
English language proficiency of Level CLB 6 and above
Canadian equivalent education of Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD
Minimum skilled work experience of one year
With some exceptions, Ontario conducts weekly rounds of invitations under the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program across various streams. Ontario issues Notifications of Interest (NOIs) to successful candidates to enable them to apply for permanent residence. Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has the final authority to approve the Permanent Residency applications.
