New British Columbia PNP Invitation Round Issues 171 ITAs

British Columbia conducted the month’s third provincial immigration draw, inviting 171 candidates to apply for permanent residence.

The latest draw under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee program on March 19, 2024, selected 171 candidates to apply for permanent residence through the BC PNP Skills Immigration stream. The draw focused on the main in-demand occupations, such as healthcare, childcare, and construction.

The BC PNP invitation round selected 88 candidates in a general draw, including skilled workers and international graduates. The minimum score requirement ranged between 88 and 125 for selection under these categories.

These are details of occupation-based selection of skilled workers and international graduates:

Childcare – 27 ITAs (Minimum Score – 80 points)

Construction – 21 ITAs (Minimum Score – 85 points)

Healthcare – 30 ITAs (Minimum Score – 80 points)

Veterinary care – <5 ITAs (Minimum score – 80 points)

British Columbia’s provincial immigration programs under BC PNP are among the most sought-after pathways among aspiring immigrants to become Canadian permanent residents. The BC PNP provides a two-stage process involving provincial nomination and federal approval.

British Columbia attracts skilled and semi-skilled workers to address labor shortages in high-demand occupations under Skills Immigration streams. These cover several occupation categories according to the labor market needs of the province.
