Four Provinces Hold PNP Draws to Invite Candidates to Apply for Permanent Residence

Recent rounds of provincial immigration draw by Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia, and Prince Edward Island issue invites to eligible candidates.

Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP)

OINP held four draws between May 5 and 10, inviting 5,196 candidates.

The May 5 OINP draw issued invites to 1,863 candidates. The targeted OINP draw for tech occupations considered Express Entry Candidates in Human Capital Priorities streams having CRS scores between 475 and 482 points.

The second OINP draw on May 8 invited 2,349 candidates in healthcare occupations. The candidates had active Express Entry profiles with a CRS cut-off of 427 points.

Ontario held two OINP draws on May 9.

OINP issued invites to 584 candidates in tech and health occupations of the Employer Job Offer Express Entry stream. The minimum CRS score requirement was 62 points.

400 candidates living in Canada with job offers in targeted skilled trade occupations under Employer Job Offer Express Entry received invitations subject to a minimum CRS score of 43 points.

Quebec Regular Skilled Worker Program (QRSWP)

The QRSWP invited 802 candidates on May 1 to apply for permanent selection. The minimum score requirement was 571 points.

Quebec operates an independent selection program for candidates who obtain Quebec Selection Certificate. These candidates can apply to the IRCC to seek permanent residence in Quebec.

British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP)

British Columbia held targeted draws under BC PNP, inviting over 150 candidates under the Skilled Worker and International Graduate stream.

The province also invited 93 candidates in tech occupations, having a minimum score of 90 points in its Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS).

There were three more draws to select candidates having a minimum score of 60:

Early Childhood Educators- 34 candidates

Healthcare occupations- 23 candidates

Other priority occupations- up to 5 candidates

Prince Edward Island PNP

The PEI PNP held a draw for provincial nomination on May 4, inviting 122 candidates under its Labor and Express Entry Streams. Despite being the smallest Canadian province, Prince Edward Island occupies the third position in welcoming the highest number of provincial nominees.
