British Columbia Holds a New Invitation Round under General and Targeted BC PNP Categories

The latest British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program draw on October 4, 2023, issued over 186 Invitations to Apply.

British Columbia General Draw invited 110 candidates in the Express Entry and Skills Immigration streams. The draw issued invites to candidates in 35 Tech occupations. The BC PNP draw for Targeted Occupations sent 51 invites to early childhood educators and assistants. 

The BC PNP draw also invited 25 candidates targeting 39 health occupations. The new BC PNP draw issued less than five invitations to candidates in Other Priority occupations.

These are the details of the October 4 BC PNP draw with cut-off scores:

Skilled Worker (including EEBC option)- 111 

International Graduates (Including EEBC option)- 113

Entry Level and Semi-Skilled- 91

Childcare occupations- 60

Targeted Healthcare and Veterinarian occupations- 60

There was an increase in cut-off scores compared with the last BC PNP general draw on September 19, 2023.

British Columbia assigns points to candidates by considering factors like work experience, age, education, adaptability, and language proficiency. BC PNP (British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program) ranks and evaluates candidates according to their points.

The province conducts periodic rounds of invitations to select top-ranking candidates. British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program has stiff competition and stringent selection parameters. Candidates with relevant work experience and education stand a better chance for selection for provincial nomination.
