British Columbia Holds a New BC PNP Draw Inviting 83 Candidates for PR Approval

The month’s first round of invitations under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program on April 3, 2024, sent out 83 invites to candidates to apply for permanent residence.

British Columbia holds up to five draws to nominate candidates through its provincial immigration programs. These weekly invitation rounds consider the applicant’s score on the points assessment grid. The province may hold April’s second nomination draw by April 10, 2024.

The latest BC PNP draw on April 3, 2024, selected candidates with full-time work experience across in-demand occupations, such as healthcare and construction. The minimum eligibility scores for selection ranged between 90 and 130 points.

British Columbia considers several selection factors to invite candidates under regular BC PNP draws. These are:

Educational Credentials

Age

Language skills

Skilled work experience under a British Columbia employer

Occupation

Each candidate receiving an invitation gets 30 days to apply with complete details and documents to the BC PNP. Other candidates will stay in the pool and wait for the subsequent invitation rounds.

British Columbia collaborates with Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to manage its provincial immigration streams.

Aspiring immigrants with skilled work experience in British Columbia’s in-demand occupations can explore provincial and Express Entry-aligned programs to receive an invitation to apply for permanent residence.
